Congratulations, you’re almost ready to accept credit cards in your website or 3rd party software. Please follow the instructions below to assist you in activating your Authorize.Net account. The following 2 parts are required to activate and obtain your AuthorizeNet API Login ID and Transaction Key.

Part 1: Activating your Authorize.Net Account

    To get started activating your Authorize.Net account, please locate the "Welcome to Authorize.Net" email and click the "Activate your Account" button. If you're having trouble locating this email, please check your junk or spam folder. If the email was never received, please contact us and we'll get it sorted out for you.

    You must first generate a PIN to verify your identity. Please check your email after clicking "Send PIN"


  • Step 3 of 6

    Please enter the 5 digit PIN received via email. If you don't receive the PIN within 2 minutes of requesting it, please check your junk or spam folder.

    Verify that your information is correct. If any information is incorrect, please edit before proceeding. Once your information is verified, click the checkbox and "I Agree" button.

    Create your Authorize.Net login credentials by entering a unique Username and Password. This will be used to log into the gateway, so please remember to safely store this information for future reference. To finalize activation, please click the "Create your Account" button and you will be signed into Authorize.Net.  




    That's it, you should be activated and signed into Authorize.Net. If you're having trouble with any of the previous steps and cannot complete activation.


Part 2: Disabling Test Mode and locating your API Login ID and Transaction Key

      The "New Transaction Key" radio button should already be checked, if it's not, please check it and click the "Submit" button. Please Note: These steps outline obtaining the API Login and Transaction Key for the first time.

        Click the "Request PIN" button, this will verify your identity by sending you a 5 digit code to your email associated with this account.
      • Enter the 5 digit code sent via email and click "Verify PIN". If you haven't received this email within 2 minutes of requesting it, please check your junk or spam folder.

      Boom! Your API Login and Transaction Key have been successfully created.

      Please Note: This is important and sensitive information, please write these credentials down for safe keeping, as the Transaction Key is not stored in Authorize.Net.
